I know they are ground nesters. I have treated the weep holes and the perimeter. Will they nest inside a structure and if so where would I look?
Cricket Hunter Wasps can be found indoors year-round and will often occupy existing holes in the ground or in cavities in the walls of buildings. Inspection and exclusion will be important for keeping this pest out. Wasp-X would be good for knockdown outdoors and for hard-to-reach areas. Insecticide dust such as Tempo 1% Dust applied with a B&G Bulb Duster 1150 would be great for cracks and crevices and void treatments. Also, since these wasps target crickets, you may want to use a cricket bait around the structure, such as InTice 10 Perimeter Bait. You can view more information about this pest in this article from your Texas Extension.
