I used Talstar granules for YEARS, but it isn't safe for grazing animals. We live in SW Louisiana.
A good choice to use for fleas, ants, and other common crawling pests in pasture areas would be Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate. This product is National Organic Compliant as well and very safe to use around animals and even aquatic life. We would still recommend keeping the animals out of the treatment area while you are spraying in case there is any sensitivity.
