What can I use to control Black Locust?

Answer:

Black Locust in particular is very difficult to control because of its aggressive growing. RoundUp or other Glyphosate products may work on young seedlings, but mature trees should be treated with a bark spray or treatment to fresh cuts with an herbicide with Triclopyr such as Crossbow Herbicide or Garlon 4. This article from the California Invasive Plant Council offers more information.
