The application of any herbicide can stress your desirable turf. Since mowing also stressed the turf and weeds, it is best to wait at least 2 days after mowing to apply Speedzone Southern Herbicide or any other similar products so that both the target weeds and the desirable turf will behave desirably to the application. Healthier turf is less likely to be damaged, and weeds that are not under stress from mowing (or drought, etc.) will accept herbicides more readily.
