We would not recommend using Golden Malrin or other similar fly baits in an immediate area where you are consuming food since the bait will attract flies. Regardless, there would be so little active ingredient picked up by one fly that it would not be harmful. This is a bait, so the flies are actually ingesting it. Flies also constantly groom, so they ingest what is picked up on their feet, as well. Flies will die very quickly after contacting Golden Malrin, so they may not make it to a food area. This bait is discontinued. We have other Fly Baits here.
