Bifenthrin is the active ingredient in Talstar P. It is mixed at 1 oz per gallon per 1,000 sq ft per month on the exterior of the structure and once every three months indoors (cracks and crevices). Using a fogger will not penetrate into cracks and crevices where carpet beetle larvae hide, and it does not leave a residual to kill insects later when they come out of hiding.
