With the 1.33 oz bottle of SedgeHammer Herbicide, mix 1 scoop/spoon in 2 gallons of water per 1000 sq. ft.  Water is only the carrier, so you will use whatever amount necessary to adequately disperse the product over that 1000 sq. ft. area.  According to the product label, "No more than 4 applications can be made per year."
