What is the danger to grazing lactating animals when using Crossbow? Harm to the milk for Human consumption? Livestock nursing?

I have lactating goats. Label says wait till next season before grazing. Yet, my non lactating animals are safe to be in area. So, Is the danger to the animal itself? The milk? Danger for human consumption? To the nursing young animal?
