I'm spraying a park and baseball field roughly 20 acres total
You would still follow the labeled rates per 1000 sq ft listed for 2,4 - D Amine Herbicide. You will need to calibrate the sprayer to determine how much water you need to cover 1000 sq ft at the 6 mph, 30 psi at 7.9 gpa. Mark off a 1000 sq ft area, fill the sprayer with plain water about ¼ to ½ way and then do a test application just as you would if applying the herbicide. After you’ve evenly and thoroughly sprayed the 1000 sq ft area, see how much water you used. This is the volume of water to use with the recommended rate per 1000 sq ft. Per page 14 of the product label under Turf & Ornamental Section: Annual Broadleaf Weeds: 2 pints per acre. Biennial and Perennial Weeds: 2 to 3.15 pints per acre.
