What is the most effective way to git rid of fleas outside?

I have sprayed Permethrin about two weeks ago, Talstar P three days ago and there does not seem to be any difference. I have a fifteen gallon sprayer with 2.1 gpm and 60 psi. I have sprayed about 70 gal of spray in about 2500 sq feet of grass and ground-cover (ivy) areas.

Answer:

It takes time to get rid of a flea infestation. You should run your lawn mower in the infested area the day before you treat to help stimulate the flea pupa so that they will be exposed to the product you are applying. Heavy flea infestations can require 2 or 3 applications to get rid of the fleas (applications should be done every 2 weeks). It also can take a while to get the existing eggs and pupa to change life cycles and get exposed to the insecticides that you have applied. You can expect to see the small fleas jumping around when you go into that area, but the large adults should be eliminated right away.
