Ferti-lome Over the Top II Grass Killer requires the use of a surfactant (oil concentrate) to help it penetrate the waxy coating on grassy weeds and leaves.  The Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker is a great option to use along with it, and yes it is recommended for best results.
