What is the ratio of Safari 20SG to water for basal trunk application?

i just purchased some Safari 20SG from you guys and want to know how much I mix per gallon for basal trunk treatment on a Japanese Maple that is 4" in diameter at 5 feet in the air? I am trying to eliminate Cottony Maple Leaf Scales?

Answer:

You would use 12 – 24 oz of Safari 20SG per gallon of water.  Depending on the bark type and thickness, one gallon of spray solution will typically cover 65-85” of cumulative trunk diameter. So to treat a tree with a 4” diameter, you would use 0.74 – 1.5 oz of Safari.
