every time we plant flowers they die within the first 2 months, we pull them up and there is no roots left on them.
We are not sure what exactly is doing the damage, but Adonis 2F is a great product for that purpose. Adonis contains imidacloprid, which is a systemic and can be taken up by the roots of the plants and flowers. When bugs eat the roots, no matter what but it is, they will ingest the insecticide and die. As long as the plants you are treating are not edible and not near a garden, this product would be good to apply. It is typically applied as a soil drench, meaning you mix up a gallon or two at a time and drench the area that you are having trouble with. Please read the product label for full instructions on soil drenching.
