My new home comes with an in-wall pest control system that has a port on the outside of the house where a pest control company can pump in pesticides for dispersal behind our first floor walls. What chemicals should I use for this kind of system? What kind of equipment?
We recommend contacting the company who installed the unit to find out what product to use in this system. This is not something that we are familiar with as the units are not typically put into homes anymore due to label restrictions on the products from the manufacturers. We apologize that we couldn't provide you with a more accurate answer for your specific needs. However, you could get great control keeping the insects from ever entering your home and having to rely on the system to kill them after they have already entered, by using a general insecticide as a barrier. Spraying something like Talstar P around the foundation of the home 2 feet up and 2 feet out and around all window and door frames will provide you with 30-60 day control over the insects in your area. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
