I have read that big head ants have super colonies and they are in our entire canal neighborhood here in Merritt Island, Fl. I would like to get the proper baits for these types of ants for a wide area to control or even eliminate the colony. What type of baits would work best?
If you cannot find the colonies you should consider using ant baits such as Maxforce Complete Granules and Gourmet Liquid Ants Bait in ant bait stations. Baits tend to work well because they have a delayed reaction time which allows the ants to get back to the nesting site and share the bait with the colony.
