Citronella or Large Yellow Ants do not respond well to ant baits because they usually tend aphids or other insects to create their own food. Instead, these ants should be treated more like termites, locating and treating colonies directly or using non-repellent insecticides. If you find swarmers indoors, then you can simply vacuum them up; these ants are not usually found in colonies in homes unless there is already a serious moisture issue. You could use Temprid SC where these ants are trailing, to direct treat nests, or to treat around shrubs and other ornamentals where they may be present.
