Answer:

It is recommended to apply herbicides like Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide for Turfgrass and herbicides in general when the air temperature is between 65 - 85 degrees.  Early evening would be the best as the grass will not be stressed during the night when the air is cooler.  When it is above this temperature your grass will be stressed and you will risk temporary yellowing or discoloration to the turf.
