When termites are foraging for food they will look for the easiest to get to food first. This would be any wood in the ground, and the stations do a great job of allowing the termites to find them. However, it is always possible that termites can go in between two stations. No termite treatment is 100% guaranteed to prevent termites from your home because there are so many ways that termites can get into your home. To maximize your protection, you should either move the stations no more than 10 feet apart, or the best option is to put a liquid barrier treatment around your home and have the termite bait stations supplement your protection.
