When can I apply Atrazine? Is it harmful when grass is in transition?

I am using as a pre emergent for chamberbitter.

Answer:

Hi-Yiled Atrazine Weed Killer may be applied during both dormant and growing seasons. Best results are usually obtained when applied in early Spring or dormant periods when weeds are small or have not emerged.  It should not harm a lawn in transition. Atrazine is only safe for St. Augustine or Centipede lawns.
