When I mix up copper sulphate is clogs my garden sprayer. Is there a special tip I need to prevent clogging?

After adding water, do I need to wait a couple of hours for the granules to dissolve so the tip will not clog up, or do I need to buy a sprayer with bigger orifices to prevent clogging?

Answer:

For most applications of Crystal Blue Copper Sulfate, you will dissolve the granules in water and then spray over the water surface with a hand-held pump sprayer. You should not apply granules directly to the water unless you have the proper equipment and are already familiar with this treatment. Crystal Blue Copper Sulfate should be applied on a sunny day after being mixed with water. Crystal Blue Copper Sulfate is mixed at roughly 2.6 oz per gallon of water, and allows the granules to dissolve before spraying to avoid clogging.
