Which product will control Southern Two-Striped Walking Sticks (Anisomorpha buprestoides)

We seem to have an infestation of them at our house they keep spraying their poison at my dogs. They like to cling to the brick wall of the house and are usually found in mating pairs, with the male riding on the back of the female. My young springer spaniel, Roxie, just finished veterinary treatment for an ulcerated cornea due to being sprayed in the eye. My older springer spaniel, Sadie, was sprayed in the face this past Sunday evening and we are now undergoing veterinary treatment for both of her eyes. My vet bills are going through the roof due to these bugs. We've tried spraying them with Ortho Bug B Gone and Triazicide, but the bugs seem immune to it and do not die, even after hours of being doused. We have ended up smashing every one we can find with shoes because it seems that is the only way to kill them. Is there any product that will PREVENT them from coming into my yard in the first place? If not, is there any product that will actually kill them? Thank you for any recommendations you can provide.

Answer:

There are not any insecticides on the market that are labeled for the Two-Striped Walking Stick so we are recommending that you use an insecticide that we know has been very successful with other tough to eliminate insects. Demon WP is a very potent insecticide that works exceptionally well on scorpions, roaches and spiders which are all known to be very hard to kill. While Demon WP will not prevent them from venturing on to your property we think it will kill the ones who venture onto the treated areas. Keep you dogs our of the area during the application and they can return to the area as soon as it is dry.
