It is necessary to vacuum after applying NyGuard Plus (or any other flea treatment) because vacuuming pulls fleas and eggs to the surface of carpeting and also provides the stimulation the pupa (immature fleas) need to exit their eggs and expose themselves to the insecticides that have been applied.
