Why would a person want to lure these beetles? Won't Lures for Black Carpet Beetle Traps cause more beetles?

Answer:

Lures for Black Carpet Beetle Traps are only going to lure the beetles that are already in the area.  It will not make an already active infestation larger.  You would use traps with lures to draw out the beetles that are hiding to catch and eliminate them.
