Will Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate eliminate cicadas and their nymphs on fir and oak trees?

Answer:

No, Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate is not labeled for cicadas therefore is not recommended.  Sevin Concentrate would be an alternative insecticide for treating insects in the Cicada family such as Periodical Cicadas, Dogday Harvestfly, and Grand Western Cicada. Use 4 fl oz per gallon of water or 8 fl oz per 2 gallons of water and spray up to the point of run-off making sure to cover all sides of leaves and trunk. Reapply as needed but no sooner than 7 days between applications.  View the full product label for more information.
