Leaves looking skeletonized and some rose bush dust was ineffective at eliminating the problem.
Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide is not labeled for sawflies. For prevention of and early spring treatment of rose sawfly, you can use a systemic product like Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench. For current sawfly larvae, you can use high pressure water spray to dislodge the insects and/or do a thorough coverage spray using an oil and pyrethrin spray like Monterey Take Down Garden Spray. It is best to spray in early morning, and be sure you treat the undersides of the leaves where these insects hide.
