Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide (Prodiamine) should be used in a tank sprayer for best results. Herbicides are much different than other chemicals because water just acts as the carrier. I The rate is not provided per gallon of water but per area so would not work well in a hose end. Please read the product label to determine the exact usage rate for your needs as it varies according to the species of grass you have.
