Will Boric Acid Kill Fleas?

Answer:

Yes, some boric acid products, like CB Borid Boric Acid Dust, will kill adult fleas, but it will not kill their eggs. This particular formulation of boric acid is not labeled to broadcast over your carpet. This product is limited to be used in areas that are not readily assessable such as in wall voids. If you have fleas inside your home it is very important to use a product with an IGR (insect growth regulator) in it, such as Ultracide. This product will be broadcast across your carpet and areas where the fleas are seen. You will need to vacuum daily for 14 days and do a follow up treatment. Depending on the severity of the problem, you may have to do subsequent treatments. Make sure to vacuum daily in between all treatments.
