Our winter wasn't very strong and the heat has set in early. I have a bad infestation of pickleworms in my cucumber plants! My local agricultural division of the local college, University of Florida recommended a farm pesticide called Entrust, which has the same active ingredient Spinosad, and said it is OMRI listed, and I am trying to grow as organically as possible. Is this safe to use and popularly effective?
Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled for pickleworms specifically but it is labeled for worms in general on cucumbers. This is a fairly new product for us so we do not have any feedback on efficacy for pickleworms but you can contact the manufacturer, Bonide, directly to see if they have found their product to be effective for pickleworms.
