Confront Herbicide is not labeled as safe to apply over juniper.  Lontrel Turf and Ornamental would be a better option.  For control of weeds such as Canada thistle and knapweeds, apply after the majority of the basal leaves have emerged, but before bud stage. Later application may result in less consistent control.
