Will Fenvastar EcoCap kill gypsy moth egg masses?

The egg masses I can see and reach I have been slicing them with my box cutter blade then giving them a good soaking with the Fenvatar solution (1oz per gallon mix). Is there any effectiveness in what I am doing or am I just wasting my product? Probably sliced and soaked 100 egg masses today.

Answer:

FenvaStar EcoCap will not kill egg masses as they are protected and it is not a contact kill.  Once the caterpillar hatch and crawl across a treated area they would be killed.
