I have a severe infestation of wiregrass in my tall fescue lawn. I did not see wiregrass listed as one of the grass weeds it kills or controls.
“Wiregrass” is a form of bermudagrass which is how many herbicides will list this on their product labels. Fusilade II Herbicide is labeled for supression of bermudagrass in tall fescue lawns and a Non Ionic Surfactant will be needed for best results. Keep in mind, bermuda grass is extremely difficult to control and you will likely need to make several applications. Refer to page 11 of the product label for more information.
