Will Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester kill English Ivy in my lawn?

Answer:

Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester is not specifically labeled for English Ivy. For cool season turfgrasses, Bonide Poison Ivy and Brush Killer BK-32 Concentrate can be used to treat English Ivy at the rate of 4 fl oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq ft. Due to the waxy coating on the leaf surfaces, direct application to the leaves with a paintbrush may work best. Applications should be made during warmer temps when the ivy is actively growing or if new sprouts or growth occurs.
