Monterey Florel Brand Growth Regulator is not labeled to control pods in a locust tree. Some articles recommend the use of the active ingredient Ethephon for this application, but unfortunately, we do not have a product with it that is labeled for use as effective on honey locust. Most plant growth regulators used to prevent fruit set must be applied as a full coverage spray during the mid- to full-bloom stage.
