We have some stuffed animals which have been damaged by carpet beetles. Will putting them in sealed bags with Nuvan ProStrips kill any carpet beetles, larvae and eggs on the items? Would the stuffed animals need to be washed or dried before they can be cuddled again? If so this would defeat the purpose of using Nuvan ProStrips. The heat from the washer/dryer would melt their fleece, so we are hoping to avoid that. Thank you.
No, Nuvan ProStrips are not labeled for Carpet Beetles.Nuvan Pro Strips can be used as directed for the following pests: Ants, Bed bugs, Cockroaches, Bees, Hornets, Wasps and Yellow Jackets, Pantry Pests, Flies, Mosquitoes, Spiders. If heat treatments from your dryer are not an option, you can spot treat the seams of the stuffed animals carefully with a hand steamer as carpet beetles, larvae, and eggs will die upon direct contact with steam.
