James from Augusta, Ga writes

Will Princep control chamberbitter in lawn grasses? Or is Atrazine the only answer to control of chamberbitter?

Answer:

Princep Liquid Herbicide is a pre-emergent herbicide that will not target actively growing weeds. Crew would be a great product to use for pre-emergent control of listed weeds.  Contains dithiopyr and isoxaben as its two active ingredients. Research from several extension pages do suggest the use of Atrazine for this weed, but we are not able to guarantee its effectiveness as the product is not labeled specifically for this weed. Atrazine is labeled for use only on St Augustine and Centipede established turfgrasses. Also, keep in mind given how persistent and pesky chamberbitter is, there is no one and done solution to take care of the weed so repeat applications may be necessary.
