Will PT Fendona Pressurized Insecticide work for larder beetles?

Can you also tell me if Gentrol Point Source is listed for larder beetles? Is there anything you can use in attic in sprayed in insulation ? Some form of dusting powder maybe? I. M looking for both knock down and residual products and even better if it’s an all in one!

Answer:

PT Fendona Pressurized Insecticide is a crevice spray that is labeled for beetles not specific species. Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for larder beetles, it will only disrupt the reproductive cycle of roaches and stored product pests (red, confused flour, and merchant beetles). For larder beetles, you will want to vacuum those that gain access indoors, use exclusion materials to prevent their access and provide a monthly exterior residual outdoors (to listed areas) and indoor cracks and crevices quarterly with a product such as Tirade Ultra SC. Here is a great article  you might find helpful with this pest.
