Will Quali-Pro Imidacloprid 0.5G Insecticide harm honey bees if applied systemically to lilacs for root borers after the plants have bloomed?

We raise honey bees and wondering the effects to honey bees after the plants have bloomed.

Answer:

If you use a systemic product such as Imidacloprid 0.5G Insecticide in an area with blooming plants, then there is a possibility that bees could pick up some of the active ingredient if they are foraging on those plants. While a granule product applied on the ground would pose far less risk, we cannot guarantee that the flowers in the area would not take up some of the imidacloprid.
