Rick from Canton, Mi writes
He digs small holes in my yard seams like he is looking for food. I don't have grubs. So what is he after and will the repellent work?
Skunks are omnivores and will eat various insects, plant roots, small rodents, and even things they find digging through garbage, so it can be difficult to determine what they may have found in a particular area. Repellents such as Repels-All may be effective for a short time, although since skunks have such varying food sources they may quickly adapt to the scents of repellents or return to treated areas. Trapping and removal is usually the only way to be sure these destructive animals will not cause further damage.
