Sedgehammer is one of the most “gentle- to- turf” products around. It has proven to be safe to most commonly used grasses of North America and has been successfully used for many years. Many other products are safe to only warm season or certain kinds of turfgrass. Turf should be well established with a good root system prior to application. We recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office to enquire about specific plants when using SedgeHammer to be sure it will not cause damage.
