Will the addition of a surfactant to Reward herbicide harm or kill my fish?

I want to purchase Reward to treat my pond for unwanted pond grass growing from the bottom. I have heard that the some people add surfactant to the reward solution to make the product stick to the unwanted weeds better but that it can also stick to your fish's gills and cause the fish harm and possibly kill them. I have a one acre catfish pond. Should I add the surfactant or skip it?

Answer:

Yes, using a surfactant with the Reward Herbicide will increase the penetration of the product throughout the entire plant for faster results.
