Yes, Ferti-lome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench can be applied as a prevention for Woolly Adelgids before they are active, it takes time to be translocated through the tree, up to 8 weeks depending on the size so timing is key.    Please contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region.
