The lawn seeded with Buffalograss and Bermuda has started popping up and spreading fast. I want it gone without having to start over on the Buffalograss.
Fusilade II Herbicide would harm both the buffalo and Bermuda grasses. Unfortunately, there aren't going to be any selective herbicides on the market that we are aware of that would be able to selectively remove Bermuda from a buffalograss lawn. They are both warm-season grasses, and buffalo is typically considered to have the same tolerance level to chemicals or more sensitive to certain chemicals than Bermuda is, and would likely be damaged by anything strong enough to take out the Bermuda. You would need to very carefully spot-spray the Bermuda, or hand-removal/dig it out to reduce the spread.Â
