Will this work on Whiteflies in the grass?

I've used Bifen IT earlier this year and it worked good as always. Later on to the summer I started having a lot of white flies in my grass. Tried Bifen again and nothing happened. Tried Permethrin and it helped a little but few days later white flies took over again. What would work at this time? I assume I killed all the natural predators of white flies and bow there is nothing to get rid of it. Please help. Thank you

Answer:

Ultra-Pure Oil Horticultural Insecticide, Miticide and Fungicide is only going to kill those insects that you make direct contact with while spraying.  Bifen IT is a great product for white flies but only kills those insects that contact a treated surface.  It is not a kill on contact and will take time. You can apply every 7 days, if needed, but usually once a month.  Are you use you are dealing with whiteflies and not something like sod webworm and the adult moths.  Whiteflies are typically on ornamentals more than lawns.   To be sure this is the insect you are dealing with, we recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office for a proper identification. They can be reached by clicking on the link below. http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/
