Will Trimec 992 be absorbed through the flower of a dandelion?

I have some young dandelions that are pretty much all flower with very little in the way of leaves. Will Trimec 992 be effective if mainly/only the flower gets treated?

Answer:

Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide is labeled to kill dandelions so you likely will see some results even after they are have flowered. Repeat applications if needed. The best time to treat dandelions is in the fall as the weeds naturally channel their nutrients down into their roots in preparation for winter. If sprayed in fall, the weeds will naturally send the herbicide, along with their nutrients, down into the roots. In spring, applying when the weeds are young is best however repeat applications may be necessary.  View the full product label for more information.
