Will using a roach fogger/roach bomb in my home affect the Gentrol Point Source Discs?

I put the gentrol source on the ground and I'm wondering if me bombing my house will cause any damages or make the product not work anymore and I have to put down new ones

Answer:

Fogging/Bombing homes for roaches typically is not the most effective method to eliminating a roach infestation as these products will only kill roaches that are out at the same time as the fogger is going off. They do not leave a residual effective to transfer back to the colony. The only time fogging would be recommended for roach treatments would be if you are seeing high numbers of roaches and want knockdown of the initial population before following up with proper roach treatment program such as one of our Roach Control Kits. While fogging would not harm the Gentrol Point Source stations you already have out, it would be recommended to remove any discs while fogging/bombing. Also, when using the Gentrol Point Source, these discs are more effective when placed up high as the vapor it releases is slightly heavier than air, and higher up placements such as the side of upper cabinets above/behind the fridge, etc will help the product disperse through the area better to reach more of the population. While 1 or 2 down low is fine, to get the most from the product you would not want to place many down on the floor.  Each one of our Roach Control Kits includes the top professional grade products for roaches including a non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide, a roach bait gel and the Gentrol Pointe Source Discs with enough for roughly 3-4 treatments.
