Would this be a good product to use against Japanese beetles on my eggplant? Does this have the awful smell associated with malathion? Thanks
Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray is labeled to eliminate Japanese beetles, however, it is not labeled for use on eggplants. According to the Safety Data Sheet for this product, the odor is a characteristic mercaptan odor. Sevin Concentrate is an excellent option for use on eggplants and is labeled to eliminate Japanese beetles. The mixing rate is 1.5 fl oz per gallon of water. This product can be applied up until 3 days before harvest. The reapplication time is 7 days.
