Would Talstar P be safe for use on horses for flies and gnats?

The flies seem to be especially bad.

Answer:

Talstar P (Talstar One) is NOT labeled to kill horse flies or for use in pastures containing grazing animals and is NOT labeled for use on horses. We do offer  Permethrin SFR 36.8%  and it is labeled for use on livestock such as horses and cattle as well as other animals. We have listed the specifications for horses below but you can find more information on the product label. For use on Horses to control: Horn flies, face flies, stable flies, house flies, horse flies, black flies, eye gnats, mange mites, scabies mites, ticks, lice and fleas: Use ¼ fl. oz. to 1 pt. water, 0.6257% AI. Low pressure spray. Application: 1-2 fl. oz. spray per animal. Spot treat back, face, legs tail and ears.
