    Don't be afraid to set them off in a setting smaller than indicated. i had a 500sf greenhouse with tall ceilings (20') and did not incur any sort of plant damage on orchids and other tropicals. The only downside is the smell is intense, and lasts for a while. But it certainly gets into places and cuts the bugs down - especially hard to handle boisduval scale, and whiteflies.
