I finally realized that the brown areas of my yard were not due to a lack of water but rather fungi! I came to this site to do some research and purchased two bags of the 3336 product and made two applications two weeks apart. I'll follow up with another product (Headway?) late this fall. My yard is responding nicely, and the brown spots are being overtaken by healthy grass. Fortunately, we have had lots of rain here in NE Ohio. I am also conducting a war (currently year two) against nut sedge using the Sedgehammer product (bought on this site). I see many lawns in my neighborhood suffer from fungus so I assume this will be a long-term battle due to cross-contamination or whatever. While the 3336 product is expensive, it is worth it.
