Bed Bug Control

Bed bugs have made a strong comeback in the U.S., and are increasingly prevalent in homes, apartments, hotels, and dormitories. Bed bugs feed on human blood, and usually bite people while they are sleeping. Bed bug bites can be itchy and painful and may cause allergic reactions.

Active Guard mattress liners are proven to kill bed bugs in mattresses. Using Active Guard mattress liners is a great way to protect yourself and your family against bed bug bites. They are extremely easy to use, and go onto the mattress just like a fitted sheet.

Dust Mite Control

No more sprays and powders or wrestling to remove, wash and reinstall your mattress encasings every few weeks. Sprays and powders can cause allergic reactions and need to be applied regularly and accurately to be effective. Mattress encasings do not get rid of the dust mites - they continue to live and breed in the mattress while you are sleeping. That’s why we developed ActiveGuard.

ActiveGuard mattress liners don’t just trap the dust mites, they kill them -- for up to 2 years, providing continuous protection with no regular maintenance required. Simply place ActiveGuard mattress liners on top of the mattress, beneath the mattress liner, and/or bottom sheet. ActiveGuard can be used in addition to a mattress encasing, or as a replacement.

ActiveGuard mattress liners have a special, controlled-release formulation that protects the mattress, and those sleeping above it, from dust mites and their allergens.

  • Long lasting - kills dust mites and keeps bedding clear for up to two (2) years
  • Also kills bed bugs in mattresses
  • Soft and comfortable: no sweating
  • Completely odorless
  • Easy to use – no washing required
  • Just pennies a day for superior, long lasting protection

QCan the ActiveGuard Mattress Liner be used effectively for a platform bed to cover the wood slats under the mattress?
I do not have box spring instead wood planking that has been treated as well as mattress encasement. Can this be used over the wood planking for added protection?

While the ActiveGuard liner has not been specifically tested for use on the wooden slats under a mattress, and it is†really†designed more for a soft surface like a mattress, boxspring or sofa bed, it could potentially work for your needs. Normally with slats you would spray the slats†where they connect with the bed frame with a residual bedbug insecticide†like Temprid SC†to give you continuous protection in those areas.

QIf I already have bed bugs in my home, will using the ActiveGuard Mattress Liner get rid of them or serve as a proactive treatment?

If you have an active infestatoin of bed bugs, using the†ActiveGuard Mattress Liner†alone will not eradicate them. This mattress liner will only protect the mattress and bugs that contact it.†To fully treat for bedbugs, we recommend using one of our Bed Bug Control Kits for the best products and most effective treatment steps. Please read our How to Treat for Bed Bugs Pest Control Guide for step by step instructions on how to do a full treatment.†

QCan the ActiveGuard Mattress Liner be used on a waterbed mattress?

The ActiveGuard Mattress Liner should be fine to use on a waterbed mattress as long as you select the correct size for your bed. We would still recommend using a mattress pad underneath the ActiveGuard Liner, and of course a fitted sheet on top of it when making the bed. Please keep in mind that we do not recommend the ActiveGuard as the sole treatment for existing bed bug infestations.

QDoes the ActiveGuard Mattres Liner also kill bedbugs above the liner (& bottom sheet) where my body is?
I.e., does it kill, or at least repel, bedbugs above the liner under the covers that would otherwise be feeding on me? How long does it take to kill a bedbug above the liner, and below the liner?
